The Solomon Islands is a sovereign state consisting of six major islands and over 900 smaller islands. The country is well known for its islands, beach resorts, and beautiful scenery. - This visa allows you to visit all the tourist attractions in the country without restriction. You can engage in all tourist activities while you are in the various sites.
- The tourist visa also gives you the liberty to visit family and friends within the country.
- If you are in the country to visit friends and relatives, you should provide a letter of invitation from your host in the country.
- The letter from your host should include the host’s home address and telephone number.
- If you are not a South African, a copy of your South African stay permit is required.
- Minors should ensure they have the original copy of their birth certificate. If minors are travelling with neither of their parents, they should have a consent letter which should be signed by both their parents.
- Travelers are advised to be immunized against malaria, typhoid, hepatitis A, hepatitis B and measles.
- You are not allowed to take part in business activities while you are in the country.

- The visa is valid for 30 days.
- If you require an extension to your visa, it can be extended for a further three months provided there are necessary conditions justifying the reason for the extension.

- Foreigners applying for the visa have the intention of partaking in business activities while they are in the country.
- This business activities may include attending business meetings, conferences and trade fairs.
- Also, you can negotiate and sign business contracts while in the country.
- A letter of invitation from your business partner in Solomon Islands is required. The letter should have the company’s address and the purpose and duration of your visit in the country.
- Certificate of business registration of the company is required.
- Proof of previous dealings with company should be provided, if any.
- A letter from your current employer in South Africa stating that he/she is aware of your business. The letter should contain your position in the company, purpose and duration of your visit to Solomon Islands.
- You need to obtain a business permit before you can start with your activities in the country.
- This visa can be extended to cover your stay in the country if the reason for extension is genuine.
- If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate is required.
- Proof of paid visa application fees is required.
- Immunization against measles, typhoid, malaria and hepatitis A and B are recommended.
