Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Surinamer Visa.

Requirements
- The Tourist Visa is issued to foreigners traveling to Suriname for recreation, sightseeing, and relaxation purposes.
- Foreigners who have their friends and relatives living in Suriname can visit these friends or relatives in the country using this visa.
- If you have been invited to Suriname by a friend or relative in Suriname, an invitation letter from your host is required. A valid means of identification of your host should be attached to the letter of invitation.
- Foreigners in Suriname are permitted to attend festivals and events in the country.
- A letter from the applicant’s employer confirming the applicant’s leave is required. The letter should state the applicant’s position in the company and length of employment. The purpose and duration of the trip should be stated in the letter.
- A copy of the applicant’s residence permit in Kenya is required.
- For applicants who are less than the age of 18 years, a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate showing the names of both parents should be provided. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should also be provided.
- Proof of the incentive of returning to your home country at the expiry of your visa is required.
- A receipt that shows payment of visa application has been made in full.
- Kenyans are not permitted to work during their time in the country.
- Foreigners should ensure they are vaccinated against yellow fever before leaving their country. Shots against polio, measles, hepatitis A and hepatitis B are also advised.

Requirements
- The Business Visa is issued to foreigners who are traveling to Suriname to engage in business activities.
- Kenyans can negotiate and sign business contracts during business meetings with their partners in the country.
- Foreigners can attend trade fairs, conferences, and business summits in Suriname.
- Letter from the sponsoring company in Kenya introducing the applicant, stating the nature of the business to be done and the duration of the trip.
- An official letter of invitation from the inviting company written on the company’s letterhead and signed by an authorized signatory should be provided. The letter should state the duration and the purpose of the visit and valid contact address of the company in Suriname.
- The business letter must state whether the responsibility of the applicant’s finances would be on the host company or the sponsoring company.
- If there have been previous business dealings between the host company and sponsoring company, proof of this is required.
- Proof of payment of visa application should be provided.
- A document which shows that the applicant has the intention of returning to Kenya after the visa expires.
- Underaged children should provide a copy of their birth certificate along with a notarized consent signed by both their parents.
- International Certificate for Vaccination against yellow fever is required.

Requirements
- This visa is suitable for foreigners with the intention of making short stops in Suriname.
- Kenyans can board a connecting flight from the airport in Suriname to their destination country.
- Foreigners applying for this visa may also have the intention of joining a crew ship in Suriname.
- Visa and other entry permits of the destination country should be presented when applying for this visa.
- Flight ticket of the destination country is also required.
- Minors should be in possession of the original copy of their birth certificate. If you are traveling with one or none of your parents, a notarized consent signed by both parents is required.
- Foreigners are advised to be vaccinated against yellow fever before traveling to Suriname.
- This visa cannot be extended.
