Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a American Visa.


  • A completely filled and signed visa application form by the applicant.
  • Senegal passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the planned stay in the United States. 
  • The passport must have at least one blank page to be able to affix visa.
  • One photograph taken against a white background is required.
  • Receipt proving payment of $160 for the US visa application. Applicants should take note that the US visa fee is non-refundable if the applicant decides to cancel the appointment or if the visa application is rejected.
  • A list of the social media that you use, and the name of your account in each, phone number, email and social media history for the five previous years.
  • A detailed statement highlighting the nature and purpose of the visit.
  • Financial records and statements showing sufficient finances to fund the trip and meet expenses incurred during the stay.
  • Invitation letters from sponsoring organizations such as supervisors and employers, friends or family members.
  • Detailed resume highlighting past and current employers and academic backgrounds.
  • An itinerary with places that applicant plans on visiting with contact names, addresses, telephone numbers and addresses of any organizations affiliated with the visit.
  • The applicant must not have any prior criminal cases or any ongoing cases against them.
  • The applicant will need to have a letter of acceptance from any university in which they wish to study or letter of confirmation by an employer if the visit is of a business nature.
  • Applicants must have return tickets to show they intend on leaving the United States according to the dates they have mentioned and validate the duration of stay.
  • Applicants should show strong ties to the resident country to offset the chances of illegal immigration.
  • Dependents or spouses travelling with the applicants will need to have separate visa applications.
