She credits her uncle Gianni as having instilled in her this lifelong passion for ballet. For one of her birthdays, he introduced her to Maurice Béjart.

Consequently, she decided to use her surname Beck and refrained from using Versace. She spent several years in the USA as an actress and she moved back to Milan in 2011.

While she was living in the USA, she had regular visits from her mother. Then, she decided to take her place as the director of Versace, the company.

Allegra Versace Education

She used to attend ballet classes for nine years. Allegra was enrolled in The British School of Milan, which was then known as The Sir James Henderson School.

Then, she went abroad to Brown University in Rhode Island and then in 2006, she enrolled at UCLA, where she studied French, art history, and theatre.

During her studies, Allegra joined theatres and worked as a theatre dresser before she decided to take up acting. She started playing some minor roles in films, most of which weren’t even released.

Allegra wanted to play the roles of other people but didn’t want to see herself on-screen. Due to her low self-esteem regarding her body, she isn’t fond of seeing herself in photographs.

Allegra Versace Occupation|Inheritance

Versace was eleven years old when her uncle Gianni Versace was fatally shot outside his Miami mansion in July 1997. Her mother immediately sought counselling for her. On her 18th birthday, she received 50% ownership of Gianni Versace S.p.A.

Allegra’s uncle Santo Versace already owned 30% of the fashion empire, and her mother already owned 20%, but due to a long-standing disagreement between the two, the remaining 50% of the Versace empire was willed by Gianni to Allegra.

She instantly became worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Despite legally being able to claim full control of her inheritance at the age of 18, she opted to focus entirely on her studies and did not begin real participation in the business of Versace until she was 24.

Allegra Versace Personal life

Allegra suffered from an eating disorder called anorexia and due to that, she struggled to gain weight all her life. It was one of the reasons for her disinterest in the fashion world, as she hated facing the cameras.

The family further released a statement in 2007 which said that Allegra was indeed suffering from a very dangerous eating disorder and added that she was taking the best treatment possible to combat it.

Allegra Versace still remains anonymous and away from the cameras and paparazzi. She further stated that she has constantly worked in fashion to honour her beloved uncle.

She helped a non-Italian fashion designer in advertising and setting up his very own fashion show.
