Ian Punnett Career

After college, under the pseudonym “Ian Case” (his first and middle names transposed), he co-hosted rock morning radio shows on WXLP in the Quad Cities called Ian Case.

He also hosted the Coach and then Ian Case and The Duke with Mike “The Duke” Donegan in the early-to-mid-1990s on then-rock music station WKDF in Nashville, Tennessee.

Punnett also hosted a morning show on WMJY in Long Branch, New Jersey. In 1994, Punnett went on to talk radio at WGN in Chicago, then in 1997, he went to Atlanta, Georgia to host a nightly talk show on WGST under his real name, Ian Punnett.

In 1998, he returned to the WKDF morning show. Punnett remained in Atlanta and broadcasted the show from his home studio (while co-host Mike “Duke” Donegan broadcast from the station’s Nashville studio).

Occasionally, Punnett slipped up and would announce his real name instead of the pseudonym, which inadvertently became a running gag.

In early 1999, the show came to an end shortly before WKDF switched to a country music format. Punnett hosted the morning show (6-10 am) on KTMY-FM, in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

In the show, Ian & Margery Punnett co-hosted the show with his wife, Margery (a former TV producer. Punnett’s wife has worked for CNN and also for The Oprah Winfrey Show) who did her part of the show from a studio in their home while getting their two teenage boys off to school. Punnett helped report the Minneapolis bridge collapse On August 1, 2007, on CNN.

Ian Punnett Coast to Coast AM

In 1998 Punnett started sporadically facilitating Coast to Coast AM. In April 2000, Punnett became the standard Sunday-night have for Coast to Coast. He was the main individual other than Art Bell to be “given” a night of the week in his or her name.

In December, Ian Punnett  Coast to Coast AM2001, Punnett left Coast to Coast AM with Ian Punnett to do mornings in the Twin Cities for Hubbard Broadcasting and to focus on completing theological college.

His trade for Sunday evenings was George Noory who might, in the long run, assume control over the whole show when Art Bell resigned again a couple of years after the fact.

In spite of the fact that Punnett at times went about as a visitor has, he didn’t rejoin Coast to Coast AM on a full-time premise until June 2005.

This is when Art Bell, who had been doing the two end of the week moves once more, reported that he needed to have only one night seven days so as to invest more energy going with his better half, Ramona. Coast to Coast AM with Ian Punnett by and by came back to the week by week line-up, this time on Saturdays.

January 21, 2006

On January 21, 2006, after the passing of Ramona Bell, Punnett declared that Art Bell, the creator and unique host of Coast to Coast AM would come back from retirement to have every Saturday and Sunday night.

Punnett then moved to Coast to Coast Live with Ian Punnett, another, four-hour program, on January 28, 2006.

The new show involved an opening (6 pm-10 pm PST/9 pm-1 am EST), the same time frame that already communicated rehashes of more established Coast to Coast AM scenes (Coast to Coast AM starts at 1 am ET/10 pm PT).

Many existing Coast to Coast AM subsidiaries automatically conveyed Punnett’s new program from its first night, and in resulting months a few new offshoots came ready. As of June 2007, it’s subsidiary check stood around 200.

Since his association with C2CAM (particularly during his residency with Coast to Coast Live), Punnett built up his very own devoted after. He constantly opened the show with the “update” to “antagonistic attacking outsiders” floating just past Earth’s climate to “eat the Canadians first”, saying they are “a lot more delectable” than Americans.

After the retirement of Art Bell in July 2007, Coast to Coast Live was suspended, with Punnett by and by getting to be a host of the Saturday night version of C2CAM. Show scenes with topics relating to cryptozoology or government schemes (most loved subjects of Coast to Coast AM) were for the most part assigned to Punnett and opened for Saturday evenings.

December 3, 2011

On December 3, 2011, Punnett declared that because of expanding issues with his tinnitus, that he would need to venture down as customary Saturday night host of Coast to Coast AM, being supplanted by John B. Wells; as of January 2012, Punnett started facilitating the show one Sunday for every month.

May 16, 2013

On May 16, 2013, Punnett reported broadcasting live with George Noory that he would never again be facilitating Coast to Coast one Sunday for each month. Punnett facilitated his then-keep going show on July 14, 2013, his 479th scene for more than 13 years.

May 6, 2018

On May 6, 2018, George Noory declared that Punnett would return as a large group of Coast to Coast, because of enhancements in dealing with his tinnitus symptoms. Starting in May 2018, Punnett has facilitated a few demonstrate every month, as one of the show’s assigned fill-in hosts for a considerable length of time when Noory was inaccessible.
