He got admitted into the Lagos State University (LASU) to study History and International Relations but dropped out two years later to pursue his musical career. Oxlade’s father did not support his choice of career so he stopped being responsible for his expenses.
Prior to becoming a secular musician, he was a junior choir leader at his church.
Oxlade came into limelight when Blaqbones collaborated with him on the hit track ‘Mamiwota’ after hearing his single ‘Sour’. He later went on to feature in Fireboy DML’s hit single ‘Sing’.
The DMW boss, David reached out to Oxlade via social media to further encourage him to do more.
Oxlade dropped his six-track EP on March 27, 2020. The EP was mainly produced by Spax the Producer and it has the tracks ‘Tables Turn, O2, Away, Kokose, Hold On and Weakness’ on it.
He later dropped his album, Oxygene, as a follow-up for his EP.
