Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Sammarinese Visa.
- A Rwandan passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.

- Passport-size photographs (3.5×4.5 cm in dimension) taken in white background.

Facts about San Marino
San Marino is a mountainous country enclosed in by Italy. Despite being one of the smallest countries in the world (with fewer than 30,000 inhabitants), San Marino still boasts of several tourist attractions. Of particular note is the many historical architectures that have survived thousands of years and still stand magnificent around the country. Also located within the country is a museum that boasts ancient history and weapons. One landmark that tourists would be sure to love is the Cava dei Balestrieri, a hub of entertainment featuring an open-air theatre and a crossbow range.
As the oldest republic in the world and also home to one of the UNESCO world heritage, the “San Marino: Historic Centre and Mount Titano”, San Marino attracts hordes of tourists all-year-round, thus making tourism a major contributor to its GDP.
Although San Marino is not a member of the European Union, a Schengen Visa is still required to enter the country as it is only accessible through Italy on all sides. Foreigners staying more than ten days in San Marino require a permit from the country’s government.
With no airports and rail stations, foreign citizens planning to visit San Marino by plane or rail would have to alight from the nearest major airport or rail station, both at Rimini and continue by car or bus.

Requirements
- The San Marino business visa is issued to foreign citizens who intend to engage in business and any type of commercial activity while in San Marino.
- The visa is valid for a period of 90 days but extensions are possible.
- Rwandans coming to San Marino for business are allowed to set up a limited company or even a corporation.
- When setting up a business, the minimum capital requirement for a limited company is 25,500 euros. The minimum capital requirement for a corporation is 77,000 euros.
- Entrepreneurs planning to set up a business in San Marino will need to apply for a residence permit.
- As a foreign citizen with a business visa, you are also allowed to attend conferences, trade fairs and business summits in San Marino.
- Travelers who already own a business in Rwanda must be ready to present a certificate of business registration and a copy of Income Tax Return.
- Proof of private or hotel accommodation in San Marino must be provided too.
- Two passport-sized photographs are required alongside your correctly filled visa application form.
- Visa applicants should be ready to demonstrate they have enough money to take care of themselves throughout their stay in San Marino.
- Your fingerprint will be taken when you submit your application and this will remain valid for the next 5 years.

- The tourist visa is issued to foreigners who intend to visit San Marino for vacation, sight-seeing, adventure and other leisure purposes.
- Correctly completed and signed tourist visa application form.
- A valid passport with a minimum validity of three months beyond your planned stay in San Marino. The passport must have at least two blank pages where visas can be affixed.
- A round-trip flight reservation as proof that you intend to return to your country at the expiration of your visa is required.
- Proof of health insurance that covers medical emergencies for the whole period of your stay. in San Marino is necessary.
- Visa applicants must show proof they have enough money to take care of themselves for the entire period of stay in San Marino. This could be a copy of a recent bank account statement or a sponsorship letter, showing that someone else is willing to sponsor your trip.
- Working people are required to present an employment contract as well as a leave permission from your employer showing they are aware of your trip.
